Manufactured by Denclocks / approximately 50 years of age
The clock is fitted with an Hermle Westminster Chime movement. The chimes can be manually silenced at any time using a small pushrod that is located in the waist of the clock.
The movement is weight driven on chains and wound by pulling the chains downwards.
The movement will be professionally serviced before sale - please allow enough time for this work to be completed.
The clock is in excellent used condition throughout. It was purchased by the previous owner 50 years ago with a faint manufacturing defect, which I have pictured. It is hardly visible and hardly worth mentioning! The pictures show clearly the condition of the clock. Apart from the brand new brass pendulum disc that I have fitted, everything is original. Denclocks manufactured excellent quality floor clocks that were built to last.
The clock has been contructed from a mix of solid walnut and walnut finish. Typically, the doors and decorative features and finials are solid timber.
The brass moon dial is in very good condition, as are the three brass weights.
